One way or another: it's all comics! But they come in many form factors, so here is a handy dandy guide to some abbreviations you might come across while you browse our collection.

• Comic Issue: The classic style single issues that generally release as a 20-40 page chapter of a larger story each month. For example you might see 'Amazing Spider-Man (2025) #7', meaning it is the 7th chapter of the ASM series that started in 2025! You may also see a title and issue number followed by '(of 6)', showing that this is part of a mini-series that will end with #6. Lastly, you'll see '(One-Shot)', but that is pretty self explanatory!
• Trade Paperback: The collected edition! Our most preferred format here at Greenlight Comics is generally titled as 'Mister Miracle TPB' or 'Superman: Red Son TP', these collect multiple comic issues into one neatly bound book ready to display on the shelf! They will often collect a larger series into volumes (often shortened and titled as 'Vol 1' for example) or an entire story into one edition!
• Hardcover: See above, but make the cover tougher! This often gets shortened to 'HC' and gets applied to Deluxe Edition printings and Omnibus! What's an Omnibus you say? Well... Take a Trade Paperback, make it a Hardcover, then instead of just collecting 3-15 comic issues make it 40-60!
• Original Graphic Novel: This is where you'll find some of the best hidden gems in the entire comics artform! Generally shorter and thicker than their Trade Paperback cousins, the graphic novel gets abbreviated down to 'OGN' or just 'GN'. You'll see that abbreviation also gets used for most All Ages and Manga titles! Graphic novels can also come in Hardcover printings occasionally.
